Old Klang Road

店面 (照片从my.openrice.com截取)

既然名字已经叫作“大树头”,它确实就在大树下

我们叫了这里的招牌炒板面,也叫了卤面,因为看到每个桌上都有一瓶醋
想必卤面也是这里的热门吧

醋在右边,老板在炒面

炒板面 - RM6(小)

卤面 - RM6(小)

花费:RM12(无GST)

[Food] Fried Pan Mee @ Old Klang Road

中文版请>点我<

Went to teach at Happy Garden yesterday, did a bit of research on great food around the area but...thought I had no luck on them.

Coincidently saw a signboard indicating "Fried Pan Mein" on the way back.
Might as well be the one I saw on net!
Then we decided to stop by for dinner!

'Dai Shu Tou' Fried Pan Mee @ Old Klang Road

The apperance (photo took from my.openrice.com)

As the name suggests, it literally is, under a huge tree.

We ordered 'Fried Pan Mee' which is a must, and also 'Lo Mein' cos I saw vinegar on every table. It should be a popular one as well.

Vinegar (on the right), boss cooking

Fried pan mee - RM6 (small)

Lo Mein - RM6 (small)

The texture of pan mee is not as those machine-made one.
It is quite soft and flavourful. There are 2 shrimps, pork, pork lard and vege inside.
Basically fried pan mee is like switching Pan Mee into Hokkien Mee.
Rawang's 'Mun Pan Mee' is still the best.

Lo Mein does not have a lot of gravy. The noodles are soft and slurpy.
It is not sour at all so feel free to add as much of vinegar to your taste.
Pork lard makes it so aromatic and definitely more flavourful.
Wont say it as the best I ever had tho.

There is also a Thai BBQ Skewers stall next to it, costing RM2 each.
Didn't try that.

Generally, I think I had too much expectation on these.
The noodles are okay, I just wouldn't miss the taste. Haha.

Total Damage : RM12.00 (No GST)

Was off to Petaling Street today.
(Lots of food, but no photos and too little appetite)

Happened to pass by Starbucks @ Kota Raya.
They were giving free samples on Summer Berry Panna Cotta a.k.a new drinks.
No luck on that.

BUT!
I saw STUDENT'S DISCOUNT : 20% on ALL FOOD & DRINKS.

Does anyone here resist discount?

Java Chip Frappucino (Grande) - RM15.90

Total Damage - RM12.70 (Total 20% off, including GST)

Don't you notice the whipped cream looks fussy
This offer is only applicable at Starbucks Kota Raya.

Plenty of time peeps.

Probably won't crave for Starbucks in a while :)

[Dessert] Nutty Coco @ IPC, Mutiara Damansara

2:10 AM , , , 0 Comments

The first post ever of this blog!

I'm not a foodie, just try to share some undiscovered food that satisfies me.
Will keep this blog updated as frequent as possible!

So my sister told me there was a new ice cream stall at Ikano (IPC).
Famous of its signature coconut ice cream. Drooling already!
I have tried Sangkaya at Jalan Alor and definitely love the flavour.

Nutty Coco @ IPC, Mutiara Damansara

Nutty Coco was only launched yesterday!

Nutty Coco, The original Chatuchak Coconut Ice Cream
Wasn't a nice shot tho :(

'The Signature'
(Corn, peanuts, 3 scoops of coconut ice cream served in coconut shell)

Their menu, featuring desserts and beverages.

The main item would be coconut ice cream (obvious enough huh)
Plenty of toppings for you to choose from :
-The Signature (RM9.50) - Top with corn & peanuts.
Which I had for today

-Cendol Malaya (RM10.50) - Cincau, cendol, red bean, gula melaka & peanut
I'd like to try this next time!

Some interesting flavours for those have adventurous taste buds :
-Zesty Lime (RM9.50) : Top with grated lime skin & peanut.
-Crispy Cheesy (RM11.50) : Cheesy chip, chocolate rice & peanut.

(Photos from the menu)

Since they have a BUY 1 FREE 1 promotion going on, we went for 'The Signature' and coconut milkshake. (Sorry, didn't have a photo for that)

I think their ice cream is not as creamy as the one I had at Sangkaya.
The texture is similar to sorbet / blended ice to me.
Pretty original coconut flavour.

The flavour of milkshake is kinda same with the ice cream - a drinkable version of it.
My sister said they made it with real coconut water with the flesh.
I don't think there's water added. Authentic coconut flavour.
It's a bit different if you expect it to be like coconut shake.

Please go have it while they are having the promotion until 30th April 2015.

Total Damage : RM9.50 (No GST hoho!)

Address :
No.2, Jalan PJU 7/2 Mutiara Damansara, 47800 Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
