[Drinks] Cha Tra Mue @ IOI City Mall (Cha-yen, thai milk tea)
Must admit I'm having some sort of cha-yen (thai milk tea) feverIt all started with my trip to US and first knew about thai milk tea.
I didn't have the intention to try out as I imagined it like milk tea with some kind of spices (like cinnamon? but i'm not a fan)
But after my sister recommended it and I tried, boom, was addicted to it.
When IOI City Mall was launched, I heard there's a Thai Milk Tea store will open its first branch in Malaysia there.
And after such long while, I finally had my visit over there !
(Putrajaya is really, quite distant...)
Cha Tra Mue @ IOI City Mall
So as heard, Cha Tra Mue is one of the leading thai milk tea brand in Thailand.
And proudly announce their slogan as they are the "number one brand"
Located at 1st floor infront of District 21, it can be easily found
(However I have no idea why it's not written in the directory of its specific location)
I ended up walking up and down searching for the stall.
It's a decent, pretty little stall
There's also space for customers to enjoy their food
Their drinks come with different size and all labelled with price.
Their menu.
Beverages are their main target.
Also some food such as egg toast, rice and noodles.
Set at affordable price - rice & noodles are just RM5 per bowl.
All come with spicy & non-spicy flavour.
Cha-yen!! Silky and pretty strong tea essence
The sweetness was adjusted to Malaysian's taste buds
Which is barely sweet compared to the authentic cha-yen
Plus, they use crushed ice instead of ice cubes.
Cha-yen (Large) - RM5.50
Instead of regular plastic cups, Cha Tra Mue has their own version.
Made of a better quality material, it actually feels like holding a tumblr.
Take it back home, have a wash and you can make your thai tea in the same cup.

They are also selling their tea mix
Milk tea fans can buy it and make it yourself at home.
Selling at RM18 each.
Feeling Putrajaya is way too far?
They just launched another 2 branches at KL City Centre
Which are at Times Square and Plaza Low Yat.
Even have a buy 1 free 1 promotion that time.
(Of course, the worst thing is I missed it)
If you're a milk tea fan, try out cha-yen!
